UNIQUE SOLID ALUMINIUM RUBIK’S CUBE.
In this auction you are bidding on a fully working solid aluminium Rubik’s cube. This highly-polished, full sized 2 1/4" Rubik’s cube was hand-machined from solid aluminium bars. It weighs 450g or 1 Lb. All the centres are sprung loaded and it’s movement is very smooth. This cube is the prototype for this type of cube and is currently the only one in existence, there may be more to come but I won't be making another one like this for at least 6 months. The cube is stamped with my makers mark on the side of one of the centre cubes (see photo).
The internal design of the cube is different from a plastic injection moulded cube. It is my own unique design, it is designed for smoother low friction movement and to be hard to take apart. (ideal for speed-cubering.)
This cube was made by me (G.P.Sutton) in derby shire England between Dec 05 and Feb 06. It was Machined on a 1960’s Myford lave.

UNIQUE OFF-CENTRED SOLID ALUMINIUM RUBIK’S CUBE.
In this auction you are bidding on a unique off-centred solid aluminium Rubik’s cube.
This cube, with an off-centred pivot, works like a normal Rubik cube except each side is a different distance from the pivot. This means it is only a perfect cube when it is solved. When it is mixed up all the faces are not level. The steps are about 1mm so it is harder than a normal cube because you cannot tell where a piece goes until it gets there.
This highly-polished, 5cm Rubik’s cube was hand-machined from solid aluminium bars. It weighs 350g. All the centres are sprung loaded and its movement is very smooth. This cube is the prototype for this type of cube and is currently the only one in existence, there may be more to come but I won't be making another one like this for at least 6 months. The cube is stamped with my maker’s mark on the side of one of the centre cubes, model Number (OC-AL) and serial Number (SN/ P). The “P” is for prototype (see photo).
This cube was made by me (G.P.Sutton) in Derbyshire, England between Feb 06 and May 06. It was hand-machined on a 1960’s Myford lave, taking a total of about 48 hours.
