THIS robot will attempt to break a Rubik’s cube world record.
The RuBot 2 can solve the puzzle in less than 35 SECONDS, says his inventor Pete Redmond.

Boffin Pete said: The RuBot 2 is not the first Rubik’s Cube solving robot, but it has to be the coolest looking - and I truly believe it to be the fastest robotic Cube solver ever.

There are cameras in RuBot 2’s eyes that scan the cube before his pneumatic arms solve it.

"He uses a very efficient computer algorithm to figure out how to unjumble the mixed up Rubik's Cube and usually comes up with a solution of less than 20 moves.

"After the scan, he can usually do the solve in about 35 seconds, no matter how much it is mixed up.

The Guinness World Record attempt includes scanning time, and I am confident that we can do our complete scan and solve in around 60 seconds."

The RuBot 2 will go for the record at Royal Dublin Society, Ballsbridge, in Dublin on January 8.

不错啊，如果 robot 参赛在15秒内扫描一下，然后瞬间算出一个20+步的解（也不用最优），开始的时候执行就OK了，估计若干年后机器人能比人快！

若用更深的蓝之类的超级计算机，最优解没准也是瞬间计算出来

哈哈差一两步其实影响不大啊，感觉还是提高机器人的“手速”对提速的帮助更大

还原的步骤用的很少，人家毕竟有的是电脑，呵呵。
不过转的实在有店慢了，它转太快了，怕塑料魔方坏了的话，建议他搞1个七夜的不锈钢魔方

我看这个机器人挺“狡猾”的，从视频上看，他是自己还原，也是自己计时，基本没有反应时间。
