Tony Fisher's 2007 Cube Day Puzzles----Tony Fisher
These are my new puzzles that I took to this year's Dutch Cube Day in Eindhoven. Prices ranged from 260-380 Euros.

1、十二轴二阶星1：
NESTING CUBES
The 3x3x3 cubies on this puzzle are simulated so they don't get mixed when the puzzle is scrambled. The idea is to pair up the same coloured cube sides. The first picture shows it solved and the third shows it fully scrambled. Six basic colours were used. Each occurs on ten sides. It has 60 sides and 360 stickers. Movement is pretty good. Thanks to Cubesmith for the stickers.

2、十二轴二阶星2：
RHOMBALL
I actually started this several years ago but only recently got round to finishing it. I have been trying to find some reference to this shape but Mathworld tells me it may be something new. There is a formula for naming shapes and I believe it would be called a Rhombic Hectoicosahedron though I am not certain. The closest thing I could find was the Rhombic Enneacontahedron. It looks similar but is quite different since is has no concave areas like mine. If anyone finds this shape elsewhere please let me know.
Twelve colours were used. Each occurs on five convex plus five concave sides. It has 180 stickers on 120 identical rhombic sides. Movement is OK but a little stiff.

3、四轴三阶两面锥形魔方：
BICONE
I have always liked this shape and have been toying with the idea for a few years. I like the fact that from one angle it looks circular but from another almost square. Making puzzles with curved surfaces is never easy. I used nine colours. Movement is average to good.

4、十二轴三阶20面体魔方：
ICOSAHEDRON MEGAMINX
Several people including myself noticed this possibility shortly after the first Megaminx came out. I started making a prototype early on but abandoned it until recently. Jurgen Brandt was probably the first person to finish one. A few others followed. Jurgen is the only person who could really claim "ownership" of this puzzle and he actively encourages others to recreate his ideas. No one else seems to be producing it so I don't think I am treading on any toes.
No fewer than 62 Megaminx pieces have to be modified to make one of these. I used ten colours doubled up on opposite sides. Movement is pretty good.

5、六轴三阶24面体魔方：
DELTOIDAL ICOSITETRAHEDRON
I wasn't intending on revealing these puzzle just yet but I managed to get tatty prototypes finished just in time to take to the event. This is a standard 3x3x3 transformation. It has 24 kite sides. I have used 12 colours. It still needs a bit of work and improving but I am pretty happy with the result. This puzzle was not for sale though I plan on making more in coming months. 
6、十二轴三阶六面体魔方：
（这款外形的设计很巧妙，[em17]它的原型是五魔方，五魔方是十二面体，改成六面体后成这样的旋转纹路，真是想不到，我看图片看了很久才看出相对应的块。这款曾经有多人想做都未成功）
HEXAMINX
This is yet another puzzle I started several years ago. It is a cube transformation of a Megaminx. After the recent conversations about it on the forum I was expecting someone else to make one first. I suspect there are others out there being made right now. Anyway, with my improved construction techniques I felt I was now ready to finish mine. As stated earlier it is a bit tatty and I had to put in a few 11 hour days to get it finished in time to take to Eindhoven. It works pretty well though I am not happy with finish of the actual plastic. This can be improved though and I plan to make more of these in coming months. 
烟兄在7楼说了立方体和12面体的关系，大概如下图所示。
设想立方体是12面体的包装盒，后者的那三根举例标出的棱分别贴住盒子的三面内壁，12面体的任一面都不碰立方体内壁。

附件: [[转帖]英国DIY高手Tony Fisher（托尼希尔）2007年新作品] X0tTAoKs.gif (2007-10-15 22:14:00, 42.3 KB) / 下载次数 86再看看，应该如下图这样才对。上面没考虑12面体旋转面的分割缝。看来，12面体那标色的棱要适当削低，使有关的两个旋转面的缝不再在那棱的中间汇合，即立方体上看起来只是两条平行的缝——和红线（或白线、或蓝线）垂直的两条缝。

看来，对应于立方体六个面的、12面体的6条棱的削低，就如图中黄线框所示，高于框子部分削去。12面体的其余的块则扩张直到充满立方体。同时12个旋转面的位置和指向保持不变但面积扩大，直到切割立方体表面。因为旋转面不变，故立方体表面各块的形状和12面体魔方的大不同。

这种的魔方DIY制作，不仅是的简单外观改变，从魔方的复原上来说，与原五魔方也是有区别的，如中块变得有色向了，有六个棱块变成无色向变化。还有这种魔方旋转起来外观是在不断变化，复原难度增加了很多。
这种魔方为形变类魔方。
或许也可以做出外形为12面体，实际是个普通三阶的魔方：

相似变换大师在理论上混不走丢弃最小步,改行做结构,有趣啊,不知道大烟头能不能明白那种短路型思维
