Yet another puzzle in F-Skewb/Triamond series - Scalium.
If some are already bored with them, don't worry - this is the last for now Once I had this idea, I could not leave it without physical implementation.
Technically it's only a slight shape-mod of a Triamond with four corners turned by 60 degrees. A positive effect of these changes is that each plain face has now only one color (unlike Triamond, where each edge facelet is shared by two stickers).
Another thing about it is that face turns are locked when the puzzle is solved. So, to solve the puzzle, one has first to unlock it, then bring it to next-to-solved position using normal F-Skewb-solving methods and then finally make 4 turns to lock it again in the solved state. The second part is going to be somewhat confusing and will require some imagination, because you have to match different colors on one face.
This puzzle has a shape of scaly tetrahedron with 28 faces, thus being an octaicosahedron.
Thinking over this puzzle gave rise to wise-looking words, which have become its motto: Freedom helps you find harmony, but when you're there, you have to give it away.
