Welcome to the World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA) Wednesday, November 21, 2012 1:08 AM
Thanks to the 620 stackers at J. Larry Newton School in Fairhope, Alabama, a new Guinness World Record mark will be on the books for 2012. At exactly 1:59pm MST on Friday, November 16th, last year's record of 412, 259 was broken. Verifications continue to come in, so the final count won't be determined for a number of days, but now it's assured to be a new world record.
Congratulations to all who participated in the 2012 STACK UP! More than 2,600 schools and organizations representing some 30 countries from around the world registered for this year's colossal sport stacking event held on Guinness World Records Day, November 15th.
2012 WSSA STACK UP! November 15th
The WSSA's yearly attempt at breaking the Guiness World Record mark for "Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day."
We did it! Thanks to you we can chalk up a new Guinness World Record for
"Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day."
We passed last year's record of 412,259 at 1:59 pm last Friday, and we are
still counting. As of this writing, the number has passed our goal of
450,000, and verifications are still coming in. ( Keep track by going to http://www.thewssa.com/stackup/2012_stackup/ )
It will still take another few days to get our official number and
Guinness paperwork completed. Once that's done, we'll send you directions
on how you can download your customized STACK UP! Stamp of Approval for
this year's world record.
We hope it was a great event for you! Thanks again for taking part!
