The minor confession I was speaking of is that gigaminxwinner is my second eBay name. Sometimes I want to keep my eBay activities private so I use another name. I want to thank TBTyler for providing me with the chance and permission to copy his incredible puzzle. I have previously stated I am not a fan of copying and seldom do it. This puzzle however is a Gigaminx! Need I say more? I did run into a few problems making the puzzle but I was working with new materials and techniques that I hadn't used before. In some cases I tried to cut corners since I simply can't spend a year making one puzzle. Having said that it actually turned out better than expected. It has that nice squeaky new cube feel to it which was a total surprise. The main problem though is that it is very stiff to move. I have adjusted the screws, springs and lubricated it but that doesn't really help. If the slices move freely then the outer layers are too loose. Like I say I think this is down to me and not TBTylers pieces.
To answer some questions in advance-
Why did I want to keep it a secret? I wanted a clear run at the puzzle without loads of requests and questions (it's OK now though)
Will I make more? Don't know yet. I'd like to but if the qualities not good there's no point. I am not ruling it out though.
Will I make one for you? No.
Will I resell, hire or lend the master pieces? No.
Will I be taking it to Cube Day? Yes.
Is it another fake? No!
