The aim of this"step" (I cannot call it a step because otherwise it would not be a2.x look method) is to put LU and RU to adjacent front or back positions.Maximum of 2 turns is required (the average is a little above one turn). In this step, we aregoing to orient all six edges and simultaneously place the UL and UR edges to FD and BDpositions (the order is not important). There are 24 sequences accomplishingthis when RU and LU edges are in F layer, part of them having mirror cases. Forsituations where UL and UR edges are in B layer you can either turn the cubearound U-D axis or do M2 or - when you know the sequences well - F-B mirror thesequences given. If you already knowwhere the UL and URedges are placed you need to see only front and top faces in order to recognizethe case. In the follovingpictures incorrectly oriented edge is purple and correctly oriented edge ispink.
