The design is excellence.
When I saw the structure, I just think that why the six center are square, it means the center are fixed and cannot move.
There is a layer in a layer ( crazy 3x3 ), it brings the answer to me.
However, for solving, it is not difficult  because of the six center are fixed.

I was cheated by the hint "30 faces". What confused me first was the square core which turned out to hold the circle to make  a new orbit.
the inner edge seems so big while the outer ones are only with a fine pin,they are not vertical. Maybe the inner edge could slide out ?
