Georges Helm posted pictures of a 6x6x6 cube, created by Olympicube. Finally the proof that this puzzle can be made!

OLYMPIC CUBES No. N

The unfulfilled expectations of the Speed Cubing lovers in every corner of the world, are a dream becoming now real, as the patented invention drawings of the Olympic Cubes No. N. come into shape.

The Olympic Cubes No. N are three-dimensional toys of a cubic form and shape where"N" is the number of layers moving in each direction of the tri-coordinate axis system with values ranging from N=2 up to N=11, whereas "N" can obtain even higher values.

This patented invention has in a general way solved the problem associated with the linking of the corner piece to the interior part of the cube, preventing the breaking of the cube into pieces, while, at the same time enabling the player to rotate the cube layers as fast as he can (speed cubing).

The main advantages of this patented Olympic Cubes No. N toy, are the following:

a) Each individual piece making up the cube ensemble stands alone and reaches the cube interior to the appropriate depth, which guarantees that the cube will not break into pieces and that the various layers can be rotated by quick moves to the maximum extent (speed cubing).

b) The total number of the pieces making up the cube ensemble is the minimum possible; Cubes No 2 and 3 are made up of 27 pieces (as is the case with the Rubik Cube), whereas the Cube models that we are most familiar with, No 4 and 5 which have already been manufactured in many different ways, have a total number of pieces which is singificantly smaller.

c) This 3D logic-based range of cube toys now expands for the first time to N>5 up to N=11, since higher values become impractical.

d) The patent also features another version of the classic Rubik Cube No.3 with a few modifications.

Check out now, the entire range of the cube models manufactured under the patented invention Olympic Cubes No. N.

Olympic Cube No. 2
Made up of 27 smaller pieces, of which only 8 corner pieces are visible to the player.

Olympic Cube No. 3
This cube is also made up of 27 smaller pieces as the Cube No.2 or the Classic Rubik Cube, of which 26 pieces are visible to the player.

Olympic Cube No. 4
Made up of 99 smaller pieces, of which only 56 pieces are visible to the player.

Olympic Cube No. 5
Also made up of 99 smaller pieces, of which 98 pieces are visible to the player.

Olympic Cube No. 6a
Made up of 219 smaller pieces, of which only 152 pieces are visible to the player.

Olympic Cube No. 6b
Made up of 219 smaller pieces, of which only 152 pieces are visible to the player.

Olympic Cube No. 7
Made up also of 219 smaller pieces, of which 218 pieces are visible to the player.

Olympic Cube No. 8
Made up of 387 smaller pieces, of which only 296 pieces are visible to the player.

Olympic Cube No. 9
This one is also made up of 387 smaller pieces, of which 386 pieces are visible to the player.

Olympic Cube No. 10
Made up of 603 smaller pieces, of which only 488 pieces are visible to the player.

Olympic Cube No. 11
Made up of 603 smaller pieces, of which 602 pieces are visible to the player.

As you can see from the above description of the 11 cube models, when it concerns the total number of smaller pieces, the Olympic Cubes No. N form pairs. In other words, a cube, where N=2K (whole number of layers per direction) and a cube where N= 2K+1 (the next odd number of layers per direction) both have the same number of smaller pieces.

It is hoped and wished that this range of the "Olympic Cubes No. N" will bring joy and pleasure to the lovers of these 3D logic-based puzzle toys, both in manufacturing and functionality terms.

We are now ready to announce our greek patent number!
The first picture is a photo of our patent as it published in the monthly magazine of O.B.I (Industrial Property Organization of Greece) in the issue of May 2004. Anyone can see this if he goes to http://www.obi.gr/online/edbi.asp
and he has a good knowledge of Greek language.
The second one is the translation of our patent summary as it is registered
in the International Bureau of WIPO(World Intelectual Property Organization) the last month
