We just proved that all positions of Rubik's cube canbe solvedin 22 or fewer face turns. (The link is to the proof of 25; the proofof 22 is essentially the same with just a lot of sets solved.)A nice article reporting this result is in the August 6th issue ofNew Scientist. This proof was madepossible by the generous contribution of CPU time from Sony Pictures Imageworkswith the help ofJohn Welborn,on the same machines usedfor movies such as Spider-Man 3 andSurf's Up. I'm currently working on 21.作者: R'cube 时间: 2009-1-23 15:20:11
